Forward emails into Google Sheets with their context intact
Forward relevant messages from your mailbox to a dedicated Suparse address. Choose whether the useful data is in the message body, supported attachments, or both, then deliver the extracted results to Google Sheets. Sender, subject, and received time stay with email-originated results so colleagues can identify the message behind a spreadsheet row.
- Capture data from email bodies and attachments
- Choose the email content your sheet needs
- Preserve sender, subject, and received time

Decide what each forwarded message should contribute
A service request written in the email body
From: coordinator@example.com
Subject: Service request SR-218 — Riverside site
Received: 23 Oct 2026, 09:15 UTC
Body: Please inspect the ventilation at Riverside on 28 October. Request SR-218, contact Maya Chen.
Attachment: site-plan.pdf
The request details are in the body; the plan is supporting material. Configure this intake address to process the body only, using fields for request reference, site, requested visit date, and contact. The resulting document row can contain:
| Request reference | Site | Requested visit | Contact | Email sender | Email subject | Email received at | Document reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SR-218 | Riverside | 2026-10-28 | Maya Chen | coordinator@example.com | Service request SR-218 — Riverside site | 2026-10-23 09:15 UTC | doc-sr218 |
These illustrative business columns follow the document type you define. The sender, subject, and received time identify the message; the document reference identifies the processed result.
Should this address process the body, attachments, or both?
Choose the source that contains the record your spreadsheet needs. If a request appears in both places, processing both can produce separate records for it.
The message is the record
- Choose body only: In the service-request example, extract the request from the message text and leave the supporting site plan outside processing.
The body says see attached
- Choose attachments only: Extract the request or other document from supported files. See the email attachment parser for formats and combined PDFs.
Each source contains useful records
- Choose both: The body and each attachment are separate inputs and can produce separate results. Their contents are not automatically merged into one spreadsheet record.
Build the route from mailbox to spreadsheet
Test the forwarded message and the selected content before using the route for recurring intake.
Forward the relevant messages
- Keep intake focused: Forward new matching emails to your Suparse address. Use the Gmail guide or Outlook forwarding guide for provider-specific setup.
Check the source and captured fields
- Try a representative email: Confirm the message arrives and that the body or attachments produce the fields your sheet needs. Define reusable fields with custom document parsing.
Configure the Sheets destination
- Create the spreadsheet for this document type: Use automatic Google Sheets export setup for the Google connection, row layouts, delivery gates, historical results, and eligible results held before delivery.
Questions about email to Google Sheets
Does this connect directly to my Gmail or Outlook mailbox?
Suparse receives messages forwarded to its intake address. It does not synchronize your mailbox or search messages Suparse has never received. See the Outlook or Gmail guide to configure forwarding.
Can an email body and an attachment become one spreadsheet record?
Bodies and attachments are separate processing inputs. Choosing both can produce separate results; their contents are not automatically merged into one record. Choose body-only or attachment-only intake when one source contains the record your sheet needs.
Which email details stay with the extracted result?
Email-originated results include sender, subject, and email received time alongside extracted data and document references. These details help identify the source message when a colleague needs to follow up.
Can we add older email results or update rows already delivered?
You can add eligible stored results by received-date range; this does not import an old mailbox. Edits and reprocessing do not update rows already delivered. For eligible results held before delivery, you can explicitly choose to send the latest saved values. See the automatic Sheets export guide for the restrictions.
Can Suparse add rows to an existing Google Sheet?
Automatic setup creates a new spreadsheet for the document type in your connected Google account. See destination setup and delivery options to preview the layout and choose when rows are sent.
Give recurring email data a useful next step
Create your Suparse account, choose which part of an email should become a record, and forward a representative message. Check its extracted fields and message context in your Sheets workflow.
